My Fun Ski Area!
Thanks to its location at the heart of Trentino and its altitude, above 2,100 m, Paganella has always been the mountain par excellence for the people of the whole region. Visible thanks to its size from the regional capital city of Trento and from the nearby side valleys, it has been the goal of alpinists and “excursionist skiers” even in the winter since the beginning of last century.
Located on its slopes, Andalo and Fai are small villages that grew to become tourist destinations, especially in the winter, thanks to the significant investments made in the last decades. Paganella is today an ultra-modern skiing area comfortably reached in few minutes via ski lifts from both villages and connected strategically to both Val di Non and Valle dell’Adige, only 15 minutes away from the Verona-Munich motorway exit . It is increasingly appreciated by Italian and foreign clientele for its beauty and accessibility. Many slopes on the two faces allow skiers the best choice according to their abilities for reaching Roda – the locality on the mountain top at 2125 m from where it is impossible not to be struck by the fantastic and unique surrounding scenery ranging from the Dolomiti di Fassa (including Marmolada) to the Lago di Garda.
There are also large play and entertainment areas for kids, “first steps” and beginners run by the local skiing schools in Andalo in the localities of Rindole and Gaggia (reachable by ski lifts) and at Meritz above Fai. High up towards the mountain tops there are lovely Alpine refuges where you can pause and rest between each leg of the descent.
With 50 km of trails, state-of-the-art lifts, 100% snow reliability and 1.100 meters of vertical drop to ski on panoramic slopes from the peaks to the villages of Andalo and Fai, Paganella Ski appeals to skiers of all levels. Top destination for families thanks to its children facilities, all-in-one-place services and lifts leaving directly from the villages, Paganella is at the same time a champions’ favourite place, the Norwegian ski team has chosen it as their training base for a few years.
Sports lovers and families are also welcome in summertime when the Dolomites, Lake Molveno (among the few lake destinations to win an exclusive award of excellence) represent great spots for endless outdoor activities or relaxing moments in a fresh mountain climate.
