Chalet Cannelle is a spacious 200 year old cowshed and farmhouse lovingly renovated with exposed beams and original farmhouse doors as well as modern luxuries and comfort. Located in Chatel, central to the magnificent Portes du Soleil; one of the world’s largest ski areas crossing both France and Switzerland and encompassing 13 ski stations.
Relaxing...The open plan living space with log fire and views of the Abondance valley through double height windows is a perfect spot to relax after an active day in the mountains
Sleeping...The chalet offers luxury accommodation for up to 16 people. The 5 bedrooms are individual inviting retreats with fine bed linen, fair trade fabrics and upcycled vintage pieces adding to their unique charm.
Food...so important on your ski holiday! Hearty breakfasts with hot and cold options, afternoon tea with cake and hot drinks, canapes and a 4 course dinner.
At Chalet Cannelle we take our passion for quality homemade food and the region's outstanding local produce seriously. You can expect a menu of traditional French specialities and modern international dishes...and we do like to offer a few contemporary twists on the classics too.
The little ones...We have a cosy playroom on the mezzanine, with toys, books and games to keep them happy, and the 5th bedroom can also be a second TV space with DVD and Nintendo Wii. There is a large private garden to build snowmen in the winter or play in the summer. There are no roads to worry about and the garden is overlooked by the living area and balcony for your peace of mind.
We can provide cots and high chairs and we have 3 foldaway beds suitable for young children that can be added to most of the bedrooms.
Visit us in Winter and enjoy the fire with the snow all around or come in Summer when the cow bells fill the valley and enjoy an alfresco dinner on the terrace.
