WHAT A POWDER DAY THAT WAS!

Wow that was some powder day!  It started with a load of snow the day before.  So much so it actually brought some trees down which cut some power cables and a lot of the lifts couldn't open.

It meant we were stuck in Les Carroz and couldnt get out!

Fortunately there is a lot of fun to be had there!

What an amazing days skiing!

Just a Short Walk to Some Amazing Snow!

If you know where to go you can get some amazing runs with limited hiking.

Rich went with a couple of freinds to ski the Arbaron in Le Grand Massif - you need to be very careful if you are skiing off piste and take great care, be well prepared and kitted up with the right equipment.

If you don't know the area then take a guide - the guys in this video know the area very well and they still had a close call.

You can never be too careful.

Have fun but be safe!

FONT ROMEU - PERFECT FOR FAMILIES [VIDEO]

Font Romeu is ideal for families and beginners  – there very few steep slopes here so there is no danger of finding yourself on a difficult run with people (big or small) who can’t ski it.

The ESF offer a fantastic area for children from just 2 and a half years old – offering anything from a 2 hour lesson to full day care where they combine skiing with indoor activities and can even feed the little ones so Mum & Dad can head off and ski themselves.

As a progression from this there are two lifts that are free of charge as you progress.

Rich talks to Joelle from the ESF about the options.
